​PC / NETWORK TECHNICIAN - EVANSVILLE, IN

Location: Evansville, IN Type: Full Time ProBleu, Inc., a leader in IT Services & Support, is accepting applications for a full time position requiring experience with PC/network hardware and software configuration, maintenance, network troubleshooting, and issue resolution. Must be able to resolve technical issues and support customers by telephone. Must be thorough, detail-oriented, and flexible to assist with a variety of technical tasks, questions, and projects. Must be proficient with installation, setup, and configuration of desktop/laptop hardware and software, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and other common applications, printers, peripherals, and networking.

In this role, you will provide quality customer service with technical expertise while at clients’ sites as well as via telephone, email, instant messaging, and remote access. Position requires strong customer interaction skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING - Respond to inquiries and requests for assistance. Investigate hardware/software problems and perform repairs. - Install, configure, and support internal organization’s and customer organization’s LAN, WAN, and Internet system or segments thereof. - Responsible for hardware and software installation, maintenance, and upgrading - Routine network administration and maintenance (monthly remote and on-site updates) - Configure and test computer hardware, networking hardware/software and operating system software - Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network/computer requirements. - Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, basic applications software, and all configurations. - Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and prepare records for clients. - Post and record daily account of time spent performing client transactions. - Monitor network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and determine what and where changes will need to be made in the future. - Determine hardware and software requirements for such changes. - Responsible for communicating with clients via email, phone and/or in-person, as well as completing and sending regular follow-up messages/status reports. - Implement security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware. - Train people in computer systems as needed. - Research new technology and recommend its implementation. - Monitor and support critical network services such as(DNS, DHCP, SMTP, SNMP). - Perform service calls in a timely manner and answer users inquiries to resolve problems. - Work toward getting approved certifications - Help grow the company through writing blog articles or twitter, networking, referring new clients, etc

REQUIREMENTS - CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications are required, but may be obtained within 6 months of employment paid by ProBleu. - A valid Driver’s License will be required. - Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose laptops and desktops - Can easily toggle between working independently and with others - Ability to work on-site at our Evansville office - Troubleshoot and repair Windows and Mac desktops and custom applications - Keen critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities - Ability to prioritize tasks and focus on the vital few instead of the trivial many - Support customers primarily off-site with occasional on-site assistance to senior technicians. - Documentation and time management expertise a must - Strong Communication skills - Strong commitment to Customer Service - Ability to work outside of normal office hours as needed or required by client projects - Eagerly willing to tackle unfamiliar problems and research “best practice” solutions - An innate sense of urgency to complete projects quickly yet thoroughly - Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to “think on your feet” - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills - Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines

EDUCATION - IT degree or equivalent experience in the field - Experience troubleshooting Windows 8.1/10 and Apple OS - Experience troubleshooting desktops & laptops - MCSE, CCNA, or equivalent certifications and/or experience in a related field is a plus. - May be required to lift equipment weighing up to 75 pounds - Percentage of travel 20%
